Modern and classic floors: which ones are the best?
The choice of the floor is among the most important decisions when designing or restyling a house: it has a great impact on the overall interior design. Opting for a modern and trendy floor allows you to play with colors, shapes and materials to create a room that will stand out. On the other hand, choosing a more classic floor, will enable you to make every space harmonious and elegant.
How to choose the floor for your house?
The choice of the right floor for our house, requires that we consider different factors, including the purpose of the room, the square footage, the brightness of the space or the possibility that the floor itself could be damaged, for example the kitchen floor.
Modern and trendy floors
A light modern floor gives a luminous effect and makes the room seem bigger. It also transmit an immediate sense of cleanliness and order. For a modern floor effect, we can choose among different materials: a taupe colour parquet is a classic, but you could also use ceramic tiles, with neutral tones or even more bright ones.
- For a modern wooden floor, TAF suggests the ANTIQUE OAK collection by IPF, in colour VELO GRIGIO. Made of European oak, planks come in extra large size to give that modern lofty look to your room.
- For a modern ceramic floor, TAF suggests ONE by 41zero42, in neutral colours: cement tiles come in an oversized and eye-catching format thanks to its graphic textures. This is an extremely contemporary, playful and cheerful decorative element that can be used both in residential environments and in high-traffic public spaces.
Classic floors
A classic yet always trendy floor is the wooden one, capable of making any environment more welcoming, regardless of size. If the parquet does not meet your needs, you can recreate the same atmosphere by opting for classic tiles, with a marble effect. Porcelain stoneware in particular represents one of the most used materials in recent years, thanks to its extreme versatility and the wide availability of finishes and formats. Either wood or tiles, a classic floor fits all rooms of the house, including kitchens and bathrooms where maintenance requires more efforts.
- For a classic wooden floor, TAF suggestion goes towards Tavole di Mastro Marino Collection by IPF. This parquet is European Oak, sizes, colours and finishings are customisable. GIOTTO 90° is a herringbone oak wooden floor, which is classic, elegant, an evergreen.
- For a classic ceramic floor, TAF suggestion is SYNESTESIA, a marble-effect tile by LEACERAMICHE, in colour PURE STATUARIO, with a matte finish. The very high technical and aesthetic performance of the large marble slab is combined with the exceptional antibacterial, hygienic and surface protection action of the Protect® technology that eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria, making floors and walls healthy, safe and protected.
